Summary

In this episode of Finding Freedom, Peter Crone works with Amra, a Bosnian war survivor who has carried terror in her nervous system for over three decades. Amra describes paralyzing fear, compulsive checking behaviours, and procrastination rooted in her childhood experience of war. Peter guides her to see that her suffering comes not from fear itself but from her resistance to it, and that her belief "I'm not going to be okay" is a lens, not a truth. By the end, Amra recognises that her imagination has been creating worst-case scenarios and that she can redirect the same power toward possibility.

About this tool

Paste a YouTube link and get the gist without watching: a few sentences on what the video covers, the key points, chapters with timestamps and study notes — all written from the video's own words, with the full transcript a click away to check them.

How it works

  1. Copy the video's link.
  2. Paste it into the box and press Transcribe.
  3. Read the summary, key points, chapters and notes; open the transcript to check any detail.

What you get

  • A short summary of what the video says
  • Key points and chapters with timestamps
  • Study notes you can download as Markdown
  • The full transcript underneath

What it will not do

  • Audio that has to be transcribed is capped at 90 minutes. Videos with captions can run longer.
  • One video or episode per link for free. Whole YouTube playlists are a paid workspace feature; channels and live streams are not supported.
  • Private, members-only and age-restricted videos cannot be fetched.
  • Free transcripts are timestamped paragraphs. Speaker labels (who said what) are a paid workspace feature.

Questions

How is the summary made?

The video is transcribed first, from its captions or its audio. An AI model then writes the summary, key points, chapters and notes from that transcript only, without adding facts of its own.

Can I summarize long videos?

Videos with captions can be several hours long. Videos without captions are transcribed from the audio, up to 90 minutes.

What if the video or episode has no captions?

We transcribe the audio. A video with captions takes seconds; without them, its audio is transcribed with Whisper, which takes about a minute for every 15 to 20 minutes, up to 90 minutes for free. Podcast episodes are always transcribed from their audio.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no card and no watermark. To open a transcript you make, you give your email and click the link we send (or type its code); reading transcript pages needs nothing. There is a daily limit per visitor so that one person cannot use up everyone's capacity.

Who can see my transcript?

Anyone with the link. Each transcript gets a public page with its summary and notes, so a link someone else already transcribed opens instantly. Do not paste links to anything private.

How accurate is it?

Captions are only as good as the video's own captions. Transcribed audio is good on clear speech and worse with heavy accents, crosstalk, music or background noise. The summary and notes are written by AI from the transcript, so check anything important against the recording.
