About this tool

This cuts a section out of a video and returns just that part — a video cutter that runs online, with nothing to install. Give it a start and end time in seconds and you get back exactly that span — useful when the useful thirty seconds are buried in a twenty-minute recording.

How to trim video

  1. 1.Choose the video file.
  2. 2.Enter the start and end time in seconds.
  3. 3.Press Run and wait for the job to finish.
  4. 4.Download the trimmed MP4.

When people use it

Sharing the relevant bit

Send the ninety seconds that matter rather than a long file with an apology about where to skip to.

Removing dead air

Cut the setup at the start and the packing-up at the end of a recording.

Pulling a clip out

Grab one moment from a longer recording for social or for a slide.

What it will not do

Worth knowing before you upload, rather than after.

  • One continuous section per run — this does not stitch several clips together.
  • Times are in seconds rather than a visual scrubber, so you need to know roughly where to cut.
  • The clip is re-encoded so the cut lands accurately, which costs a little quality and time.

Questions

How do I know the right times?

Play the video in any player and note the timestamps you want, then enter them as seconds. Ninety seconds in is 90; two and a half minutes is 150.

Is the cut frame-accurate?

Yes. The clip is re-encoded rather than cut at the nearest keyframe, so it starts and ends where you asked.

Can I cut out the middle and join the ends?

Not in one pass — this returns a single continuous section. You would need to trim twice and join the parts elsewhere.

Is there a length limit?

A trimmed segment can be up to ten minutes, and the source file up to 100MB.

What happens to my file?

Your upload goes to private storage that is never public and never listed, and only the anonymous session that created the job can read it. The original file is deleted as soon as processing succeeds. The result stays available for about 90 minutes, and you can delete everything immediately with the Delete now button.
