Blumify vs CloudConvert
CloudConvert converts between a very large number of file formats. Blumify covers a smaller set of video and audio jobs, and adds transcription.
The short answer
CloudConvert is broader and more configurable, and for anything outside common video and audio it is the right answer. We are narrower on purpose: fewer choices, no sign-in, and speech-to-text in the same place.
Use CloudConvert when
- You need a format we do not handle — documents, spreadsheets, ebooks, CAD, archives and so on.
- You want fine-grained control over codec and container options.
- You are converting in volume and want an API with a support contract behind it.
Use Blumify when
- Your job is one of the common video or audio ones, and you want it done without configuring anything.
- You also want transcription or subtitles from the same file.
- You would rather not sign in or watch a conversion quota.
