Clarity about what belongs

00:00Once you begin paying attention to what's meeting you, another kind of clarity becomes possible. It's one thing to recognize that something around you has changed. It's another to recognize what actually belongs within that change. A person appears. an opportunity opens. A conversation takes a different direction. Someone wants to collaborate. Something that once seemed distant suddenly becomes available. And the question changes. Thank you. You're no longer... Only asking, is something happening? you begin to feel the difference between something simply appearing in your life and something that genuinely corresponds with where you are now. That difference can be quiet. Okay. There may be nothing obviously wrong with the person, the opportunity that doesn't fit.

01:08and what belongs, may not arrive with some overwhelming sense of certainty. Sometimes the clarity is much simpler. you can remain yourself inside the relationship. The opportunity has room for who you actually are. The movement makes sense with what you're already living. Okay. There's less translation required. less negotiation with yourself. And this is part of what begins to happen as life starts meeting you differently. You become more able to recognize what kind of meeting it actually is. Hi, I'm Prema. Mercury in Libra forecast

02:49Mercury moves into Libra on September 25th and remains there until December 1st because of its retrograde cycle in Libra. That gives an unusually long period with Mercury moving through a Venus-ruled sign. And Venus is very much part of the story. Mercury Governance Communication participation. discrimination, and exchange, language, commerce, and our ability to make distinctions. Mercury is our great communicator, our great messenger. Mercury asks us to look more closely at what we're actually seeing. what information is available, and what a conversation or exchange is revealing. Libra brings the mercurial discernment down into relationship. And so much of life is relationship. Libra is concerned with the exchange, the reciprocity.

03:59agreements, value, harmony, and the space that exists between one person and another. It's not only romantic relationship. It includes business. relationships, collaborations, clients, partnerships, agreements, negotiations, Friends. and all the places where our life comes into contact with someone else's. So Mercury spending this much time in Libra gives us an extended period for becoming more precise about how we're relating. and what we're relating to. Thank you. Because Mercury retrogrades here, some of the clarity develops through reconsideration. A conversation may need another pass. An agreement. may look different. once more information is available. A relationship you thought you understood.

04:58may reveal another layer. Something from the past may reappear, giving you an opportunity to see it from where you stand now, rather than from where you stood now. when you first encountered it. Mercury retrograde is useful for this kind of refinement. It slows the movement enough for distinctions to become visible. And in Libra, those distinctions are relational. Where is there genuine reciprocity? Shared value and real meaning. And where are you working too hard to create coherence between two things that may simply not belong together? Venus deepens this considerably because Venus governs value entirely. attraction, relationship, beauty, reciprocity, and what we are naturally drawn toward.

06:00Mercury can identify the details of an exchange. Venus, which is our great connector, our muse, and our artist, tells us something about what we value inside that exchange. we can have a perfectly reasonable opportunity that doesn't reflect our values. I had one recently, so I didn't... Okay. Say yes. We can have chemistry with someone without having structural compatibility. We can have a good conversation without having a relationship that belongs in our life in a deeper way. We can recognize someone's gifts and still understand that we're not meant to build something together. So Mercury and Libra helps us to make those distinctions without requiring anything to be wrong. And with Venus informing the sign itself, discernment becomes less about evaluating whether something is objectively good or bad.

07:12and more about recognizing fit. Does this relationship or opportunity have room for who I actually am now? what I value, and what I'm here to contribute. and does the exchange itself? support greater coherence. That is deeper relational intelligence available through this transit. And because Mercury will revisit territory during the retrograde, clarity may arrive in stages. you may understand something differently in November than you understood in September. A conversation may reveal its real significance later. A person may become clearer through repeated interaction. An opportunity may need time for you to see what it actually contains. Thank you. Thank you. There's no need to rush the process. Mercury is giving us time.

Thank you. In the last episode, we worked with recognizing that life may already be responding to to the way you're living. Once you begin seeing that, another layer naturally opens. More response doesn't mean that everything appearing belongs. And this is where relationship becomes revealing. Because as life begins meeting you differently... You'll get to see more clearly what actually has the capacity to meet you.

Discernment without rejection

10:19Okay. One of the things that becomes clear as you live with more coherence is that discernment does not require rejection. Something can be good. The person can be lovely. The opportunity can be legitimate. The invitation can be generous. and you can still know that it doesn't quite belong. This can be confusing when we are used to evaluating things through obvious, positive, and negative. Thank you. We tend to think clarity, should come from finding the problem. The compensation is too low. The person is difficult. The timing is clearly wrong. Something that is exactly what you see. And there are other times when nothing is particularly wrong. Yet you recognize that you would have to move away from yourself in order to participate.

11:24Someone might invite you into a project that makes complete sense on paper. You respect their work. They respect yours. the opportunity could lead somewhere useful. Yeah. Then you imagine yourself actually inside it and something becomes clear. You would need to reshape your work to fit the collaboration. explained differently or occupy a role that is smaller than than the one you actually hold. The opportunity itself may be perfectly good. It simply doesn't correspond with where you stand. I think we become much clearer when we stop requiring a flaw before we allow ourselves to recognize that.

12:18This happens in relationships too. You can genuinely care about someone and know that the relationship no longer supports the same closeness. You can appreciate someone without needing to build something with them. A good conversation doesn't have to become a partnership. There's a lot of freedom in letting something be what it is.

12:48It's a little like finding a beautifully made piece of clothing that simply doesn't fit your body. There's nothing wrong with the garment. There's nothing wrong with your body. But you know when you put it on that you would spend the entire day adjusting yourself around it. Fit is information. And the more precisely you know where you stand... the easier that information becomes to recognize. So when something enters your life, The distinction can be very simple. Thank you. Does this have room for who I am now?

Quality of exchange and fit

13:35not who you could become for it. who you are now.

13:45We usually can't determine fit entirely from distance. Something can look wonderful before we actually enter into a relationship with it. Someone could say all the right things. An opportunity can carry... language that deeply resonates. A collaboration may seem almost ideal from the first conversation. The relationship begins. And that is where the information becomes richer. you begin to experience the quality of the exchange. how someone listens. whether your clarity is. can actually be received. whether curiosity, and movement exists on both sides? Whether there's room for difference without immediately needing to smooth it over.

14:45These are ordinary things. And they tell us a great deal.

14:51I have found that you can learn much more from the quality of exchange. than from how promising something initially appears.

15:04Thank you. There's a felt difference when you are with someone who can actually meet the level from which you are speaking. You don't have to keep adding explanation or make yourself easier to understand. Thank you. Thank you. There's a kind of mutual recognition. And that doesn't mean agreement on everything. Some of the strongest relationships can hold a great deal of difference. What becomes visible is whether both people are actually there. Think about playing catch with someone. You throw the ball, they receive it, They return it. You adjust naturally to each other. If one person is continually running after the ball, picking it up, throwing it again, and then chasing it down on the other side,

16:01Technically, two people may be standing in the field But there is not much of a game happening. Relationship. shows you whether there is real exchange. And this is particularly important when you are very capable of carrying relational movement. If you know how to find common ground, adjust your language, keep a conversation moving, or help an opportunity find its next step. Your own capacity can sometimes obscure what's actually coming from the other side. So instead of asking whether you can make the relationship work, Notice the exchange itself. What's actually coming toward you? There's useful information there.

16:58Thank you. There's another reason the right people and opportunities become clearer. You become clearer. When your values are mostly ideas, many things can appear compatible with them. Once those values become lived, the distinction... becomes much more obvious.

Placement and who you become

17:25You may value autonomy for years. But once you have actually organized your work around it, You can feel much more quickly when an opportunity asks you to surrender too much of it. Thank you. The same is true of direct communication. Once you stop organizing relationships around guessing, managing reactions, or carrying what has not been spoken, You recognize those dynamics much sooner. and your work becomes more precise. It becomes easier to distinguish between someone who genuinely recognizes it, values it, and someone who is trying to fit it into something they already understand. This is part of why clarity can seem to arrive suddenly after a long period of inner change. The external world may not have changed dramatically overnight.

18:27You've become more available to the distinction. And there can be tenderness in that. Sometimes greater clarity shows you that something you very much wanted is doesn't fit the way you thought it would. A relationship you hoped would deepen. a collaboration you imagined, an opportunity that represented something important to you for a long time. Then enough information arrives. And you realize that what you imagined doesn't match everything. what's actually here. Disappointment and clarity can exist at the same time. You can wish something had been different. And still know what you know. And the opposite can happen too. Thank you. Something arrives much more quietly than you expected. and turns out to be deeply congruent.

19:34The person may not look like the person you imagined. The opportunity may come through an unexpected route. The conversation may begin without any dramatic significance. And as you participate, something becomes increasingly simple. You can see yourself there. your contribution is recognized accurately. Thank you. You're not trying to manufacture chemistry or momentum. The relationship has its own life. Thank you. Discernment becomes less about predicting where something will go and more about being present enough to recognize what the relationship is showing you now. And the clearer you become about what genuinely matters to you, the less willing you are to treat those things as optional. That clarity.

20:34It tells you a great deal about where you stand now.

20:41One of the clearest relational recognitions is what happens to your own placement when something enters your life. Thank you. Do you remain where you are? Do you begin moving away from yourself in order to keep the relationship or opportunity alive?

21:02This can happen very subtly. You softened something you had already become clear about. You agree before you are really ready. You begin explaining your value or adjusting yourself around what you imagine the other person needs. Any one of those moments. may mean very little. The pattern tells you more. A relationship that belongs has room for your actual presence. An opportunity that belongs can come into relationship with what you genuinely offer. Of course, there will still be adaptation. Every meaningful relationship requires responsiveness. Every collaboration involves conversation. Every opportunity has conditions. But there is a difference between adapting within your placement and leaving your placement in order to preserve the opportunity.

22:07You can feel the difference. One feels like relationship, the other begins to feel like translation. Thank you. Thank you. Capable people can translate themselves for a very long time. You can make your work legible to almost anyone. You can find a way to participate. and you can recognize what someone needs and meet it. And that does not automatically make the relationship yours. This is why increasing correspondence in life also asks for increasing discernment. As more appears, You don't need to participate in everything simply because it's arrived.

22:58There is what appeared. and there is how the relationship actually functions. There is who you become when you are inside it. That may be the cleanest distinction of all. Who do I become inside this relationship?

23:20Usually you don't need to answer that intellectually. You can feel whether you become more present, more direct, more available to your actual contribution. and you can feel when you begin returning to an older way of relating. Your own placement tells you a great deal about what belongs.

Mercury and Venus together

23:45Mercury and Venus offer a usual mirror for this. Mercury helps us distinguish. It listens to language. It notices difference. It gathers information. It helps us understand what's actually being exchanged. Venus brings us into relationship with value. What do I care about here? What am I drawn toward? What feels reciprocal? When those two planetary functions work together, discernment becomes much more precise. Mercury can tell you what someone said. Venus helps you recognize what that exchange means in relationship with what you value. Mercury can look at the terms of an opportunity. Venus brings you back to whether those terms actually fit the life you're building.

24:43Mercury gives language to what you see and Venus helps you remain connected with what matters to you. Thank you. And neither requires us to make someone else wrong in order to become clear. That part is is relational maturity. We can recognize someone's value without needing to partner with them, and we can see the opportunity is excellent and know that it belongs to someone else. We can love someone and still understand the actual placement of the relationship. Mercury helps us to see and name the distinctions, and Venus keeps bringing us back to value in relationship. And together, they help us recognize something very simple. Okay. Does what is meeting me actually fit with who I am, what I value, and what I am?

25:39And the way I'm living now.

Oracle: Artist and Messenger

26:41The artist understands that vision is something we give form to through what we choose to include. And part of creating your vision is recognizing what belongs with it. You can appreciate many possibilities without needing to build all of them. You can value many people without placing every relationship at the center of your life. The artist is discerning about composition. What is included changes the whole. So the archetype reminds us that as your vision becomes more lived and The relationships and opportunities around it also become easier to place. Okay. You know more clearly what you're creating. And that changes what fits within it. And then we have the messenger. This is one of Mercury's archetypes. Mantra is, I bring the light of awareness.

27:41The messenger illuminates through language. perception and clear communication. There are times when clarity arrives because we finally hear what someone is actually saying. or because we speak plainly through the relationship. to reveal itself. A single honest conversation can show you something that months of speculation couldn't. The messenger brings awareness. Into the exchange. It helps make the relationship visible. Together, the artist and the messenger offer a grounded way of holding this episode. The artist knows all the time what is being created. The messenger helps illuminate what's actually occurring in the relationship with it. Thank you. And from there, placement becomes much easier.

Integration practice

28:35Let's do a practice to integrate and embody this.

28:42Thank you. Take a moment to settle yourself wherever you are. Take a deep breath. If you can, close your eyes. Just take some deep, full breaths, just allowing your breath to drop into your belly, into your lower back. letting your shoulders drop way down, away from your ears.

29:06Thank you. Feel the support beneath you. what you're sitting on, what you're standing on, what you may be lying on. You are supported.

29:20And now bring your attention to your heart, your all-knowing heart. You can feel free to put your hand on your heart for connection. Center your breath in your heart. Thank you.

29:41Now bring into your awareness one relationship, one relationship, opportunity, invitation, or a movement that currently has your attention. you'll know it's the first thing that'll come up. Thank you. Allow it to be something real.

29:59Just. notice it. You don't have to resolve it.

30:08Like you let it into the room, simply allow yourself to experience being in relationship with it.

30:20Notice what happens in you as you imagine participating.

30:32Notice whether you remain connected with yourself or whether something in you begins adjusting, explaining, changing. anticipating or trying to make the relationship work.

30:47And then... Allow your attention to widen.

30:54Notice what's actually coming towards you from the other side. What has been communicated? What has been offered... What's been demonstrated through the relationship itself?

31:14Stay with what is here without filling in what has not happened yet.

31:24And now we're going to let the heart speak. Let this Drop into your heart. and listen for what arises in your heart.

31:37Does this have room for for who I am now. Just breathe into that. Does this have room for who I am now?

31:48And just let yourself receive whatever comes... Whatever becomes clearer.

31:57You don't need to reach for anything. You may recognize something immediately, You may simply notice a distinction between That was harder to see before.

32:11There's nothing you need to do with it right now. Just let... What is revealed... to be what is. and allow yourself to recognize where you stand.
